Summer

Summer Job

My last summer job was helping out at the farm. I am just doing the same this year. Last year I made a lot of money. I drive the grain truck in harvest time. I have to drive the old blue truck. The door leeks dust so it gets really itchy if you are combining barley or oats. It is also really hot because there is no air conditioning. I also mow the grass. I make 20 bucks every time I mow but it takes around 3 hours on a ride on. Last year I put all my money that I saved in my bank account. This year I want to save money to buy a helmet and visor for reffing.

When I was hauling grain this year the old blue truck is a standard so it is really stiff. I was driving up to the combine because it was full. I got up and parked. My dad started to pour the grain in. Then my foot slipped of the brake and down the truck went. My dad wasn’t too happy at the time but he laughed at me after the fact. I never did that again after that.
